Introducing Ravenwood!
Our vision is simple: democratize intelligence and build resilience in the communities we serve.
Combining nearly 20 years of expertise as an intelligence analyst and an attorney, Jill shares her insights into the challenges and vulnerabilities that businesses and families face in an ever-changing, fast-paced digital world.
As an FBI intelligence analyst, Jill supported high-profile international terrorism cases and briefed executives at multiple agencies within the U.S. Intelligence Community. In 2019, Jill was assigned as the FBI’s Liaison Officer to CIA’s Counterterrorism Mission Center for South and Central Asia and online operations.
In late 2021, Jill was selected as Supervisory Intelligence Analyst and Intelligence Coordinator for the Violent Crimes and Transnational Organized Crimes programs for FBI Los Angeles. In this role, she developed and negotiated field office intelligence strategy and planned the overall strategic direction for threat programs. Jill led multi-agency teams dedicated to addressing priority national security threats. She facilitated structured analytic technique sessions and co-authored collaborative intelligence assessments on national priority topics.
Jill began her professional career as an attorney, earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Her legal background, including her experience in civil litigation and real estate, provided a solid foundation for her intelligence career, building on analytical rigor and high ethical standards. She remains an active member of both the California and Mississippi Bars. In addition to her legal credentials, Jill earned her Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts with a minor in Business from Mississippi University for Women.
After leaving her career at the FBI, Jill and her husband, Philip, started the Forking Off podcast. The podcast serves as a dedicated space to amplify the stories of public servants who left federal service, either by choice or by force. They use the platform to preserve the public record and document the evolving landscape of American governance. In March 2026, they added a data visualization project empowering the public to better explore OPM data related to changes in the federal workforce.
Through their podcast, Jill and Philip met former FBI special agent Kayla Staph. Now, they have joined together in a quest to build a new type of intelligence firm. Dedicated to democratizing intelligence and while prioritizing worker-owner success, they established Ravenwood Intelligence Cooperative, Inc. as a worker-cooperative to provide objective intelligence independent of political or corporate influence.
In her spare time, Jill enjoys reading everything from thrillers to autobiographies to LitRPG. She loves to wander around bookstores and has passed her love of reading on to her teenage son. She can often be found discussing literature and video games with him.
Read and listen to Jill's departure story as shared on the Forking Off podcast.

Tradecraft
The framework used to guide intelligence analysis is called the Intelligence Cycle. At Ravenwood Intelligence Cooperative, we apply a six-step intelligence cycle to all our work.
Tech
On May 8, 2026, Instagram’s end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) chat feature will be discontinued. For years, child safety advocates and law enforcement agencies worldwide have argued against Meta’s use of E2EE for direct messaging.
Society
Across the country, thousands of lawsuits have been filed against major social media companies. Allegations in these cases range from addictive game design to child endangerment to misleading the public.
